THE LIST -
last revised 6/8/08
 First of all
we want to express our appreciation to Bill Adler, original founder
of the WSMRKids Reunion efforts, Bill, from the start, has spearheaded
the effort of compiling and updating "The List" and was
also involved with the planning of the past reunions. Without his
much appreciated efforts, the success of reunions of the past might
not have been possible.

After the many years that Bill has been diligently keeping, managing
and revising "The List", he is passing the raines of keeping the
list to your webmaster, Jim Fulp who is also committed to keeping
the list posted as current and secure as possible.
However, we need help from all of you to help find
people that have never been found, re-lost people and new people.
Contact your WSPG/WSMR friends and make sure they go to the site
and have updated us with their information. The people from the
70's, 80's, 90's and 00's need to get cracking on finding your friends.
If all you have is a list of names and the year they would have
graduated from high school, then fine - that's a start. If you know
the parents names - send that along as well. Click on the Email
link on the sidebar to send the information.
On the left hand side (column "B") of "The List" has a single number.
That number represents the last digit of the year we received any
update from that individual or family. (2=2002, 4=2004, 7=1997.)
We need to get rid of the 7's, 0's as well as the 2's and 3's. (Each
of you periodically needs to go to the web page - "The List" page
and resubmit your information. That is how we are able to keep addresses,
phone no., and emails current.) Who
knows, maybe one of your old WSMR best friends is wanting to contact
you!
A MESSAGE FROM YOUR WEBMASTER!
As your webmaster, this has
been a labor of love for me since 1991 (10+yr
resident of WSMR).
My experiences at WSMR was such that I am committed to support the
group of us WSMR Kids that appreciate the experience and the specialness
that we all share by being a part of life on the base. Believe it
or not, our presence at WSMR now has a prominent place in history!
The time, effort and resources I have contributed is as much
a selfish effort in addition to a way we can all stay in touch!
I do not require your assistance in continuing this effort, however
if you feel that you have been blessed by this website and would
like to contribute to the ongoing development and support of the
expenses required (hosting & server fees) to keep this site
alive and growing along with me, feel free to donate at the following
link. A special thanks goes out to those WSMR Kids that have donated
in the past. I assure you it is appreciated and also assure you
this is quite the "non-profit" type of program!

THE BASE
As we said in the beginning.
This group of people (WSPG and WSMR Kids) at the last reunion (2004)
The Base are very close to all of us. Well, the base Garrison Commander
- Col Don Gentry and his wife joined us for the Hembrillo Canyon
trip and joined us at the Luncheon at the Frontier Club (the old
Officers Club). After seeing this group of "brats", he informed
us that he himself is a military brat and had wished that there
was a group like ours for his past. He was in full support of this
group and has mentioned the possibility of having a spot in the
WSMR Museum dedicated to the WSMR Kids and that he did not want
us to STOP having reunions of this organization.
So that is the Commanders orders! ;)
One last thing - BRICKS
The White Sands Missile Range Historical Foundation is accepting
donations for personalized bricks to be installed in the Missile
Park. Brick sizes range from 4' X 8' to 24" X 24" and the price
ranges from $65.00 to $840.00. (If you want your own - individual
brick - contact Bob Lipinski at bob.lipinski@us.army.mil
or at (505) 678-1644. This is a tax-deductible donation.
The Land of Enchantment
and GREAT GREEN CHILIES.

Keep
in touch. If we can get enough Planning Committee
volunteers, I hope to see you all on the weekend of the 4th
of July, in 2009.
